We do this to put ourselves into the shoes of the people in the tableaux - it's so much fun! We begin to infer thoughts and feelings, if you want to see what we thought, come to the Infant Hall and check out our display!

Year 2 - Tamworth Castle Visit (03/11/2017)

With a big knock on the heavy wooden door, Year 2 entered Tamworth Castle. We were greeted by Lucy the humble servant. She told us silly old Betty hadn't set the table (luckily the Lord and Lady weren't back from hunting yet) She asked us if we could help her set the table and obviously we jumped at the chance! We held charger plates, spoons made out of pewter and even tankards where the fat Lord would drink his beer out of! Once the table had been set, we learnt how to bow and curtsy. Just in time as the Lady then came in and dressed us in Saxon clothing! We then headed to the grand hall to become fully fledged squires. The castle was beautiful, with amazing architecture and amazing artefacts. We cannot wait to start our castle topic now.
