Maths Day At Montgomery Primary Academy (26/11/2013)

Year 5 students account of the day

On the big Maths Day I started off in Miss Mansha’s class where we were making a future school. We used shoe boxes and cereal boxes to create it. We also used small bulbs to create lights in the windows of the school.

After that we moved to Miss Debono’s class, where we made a mobile. We had 3D nets of different 3D shapes. We learnt a new shape which was called "icosahedron". Once we coloured the net and glued it together, we attached the string with cellotape.

Then we moved to Miss Steadman’s class, in there we were making different scented oils. There was a lady who showed us all the different oils. There was Mandarin, Lavender, Lemon, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang and lots more. Everyone made their own oil using 3 drops of 2 different oil scents.
